JACK KALAVRITINOS
Founder, Principal
Jack Kalavritinos, a public affairs and health communications expert, has spent over 20 years working in senior corporate and association leadership and at the highest levels of government: the White House, HHS, DOL and the FDA. He serves on the APCO Worldwide International Advisory Committee, and the APCO Health Advisory Board. Jack previously served Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar as his liaison to the governors and external affairs director, and he oversaw communications for the Food and Drug Administration as associate commissioner for external affairs. He also served in the Bush Administration as a senior appointee and in the private sector for Covidien/Medtronic and the American Council of Engineering Companies.

Catherine Grealy Cohen | Senior Consultant
Cathy Cohen is a seasoned public policy consultant and founder of Strategies for Innovative Policy Solutions, LLC, where she advises clients on healthcare and regulatory affairs. With decades of experience leading advocacy and government relations efforts, she previously headed the American Academy of Ophthalmology’s Washington office, where her team was recognized among the top in the nation by The Hill.

Cathy earned her bachelor’s degree from Boston College and holds a Master of Public Administration from American University. A Certified Association Executive (CAE), she has been recognized for her leadership by Women in Government Relations and the American Society of Association Executives.

Mia Heck | Senior Consultant
Mia Heck is a public policy consultant, advising clients on health care, regulatory strategy, and legislative affairs. She brings nearly two decades of experience in government and the private sector, including prior roles at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and Change Healthcare.
Mia previously directed the Health & Human Services Task Force at the American Legislative Exchange Council, focusing on state-level health policy reform. She holds a B.A. in Government from the University of Texas at Austin and an M.B.A. from The George Washington University School of Business.

Jenni Mushynski | Managing Director
Jenni Mushynski has a background as a non-profit leader with experience in strategic communications, team leadership, and change management. In roles at major Midwest cultural institutions, she has led teams through multi-year growth and identity development initiatives from research phases to short- and long-term implementations.

Hanna Spencer | Administrative Assistant
Hanna Spencer brings nearly a decade of experience providing high-level support to C-suite executives across the nonprofit, healthcare, and higher education sectors. At JKS, she plays a key role in managing special projects, coordinating council operations, producing meetings, planning events, maintaining records, and facilitating effective communication.
